We are working with a successful independent Garden Centre who are now looking for a House Plant Manager to join their team.
About our Client
Our client was established over 30 years ago, and pride themselves in offering a diverse range of high-quality plants and products, as well as supporting a number of local charities. This is an exciting opportunity to a friendly, knowledgeable team.
About the Role
You will be responsible for the house plant department within the garden centre. Buying in unique plants, merchandising stock, and creating vibrant displays will all fall into your remit. You will be responsible for the motivating and managing a team daily. You will assist with opening and closing of the business ready for trade, including cashing up the tills.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have strong plant knowledge and be confident in working with a variety of houseplants. You will be passionate about horticulture and providing excellent service to customers. Buying stock is a key part of this role, and you will be comfortable in buying in diverse plants, pots and covers. Strong communication keys are essential, as you will be running a team and regularly dealing with customers.
