Procurement Lead - Nottingham

Working for a Tier 1 national contractor, leading the procurement strategies as part of their Energy division and regional supply chains within it.

Location: - Nottingham (Hybrid working 2-3 days a week in the office or home-based working)

Salary: - £60,000 - £65,000 basic + Car + Bonus + Package

Role Description:

The Resolute Group is working with a Tier 1 contractor, turning over 1 Billion, operating across the UK and currently expanding its power team due to several framework awards.

We are looking for a Procurement lead to join the Buying function, using your experience in negotiating and working with sub-contractors and suppliers. Developing strategies for the category within their portfolio, working alongside the Strategic Procurement Lead and in line with the overall supply chain strategy.

Working as an experienced member of the procurement team you will have varied duties but these could include:

  • Being an active role player in the procurement team promoting values, quality, health and safety, sustainability etc..
  • Develop a quarterly dashboard for supply chain metrics
  • Supporting any Bids / Tenders that sit within your division.
  • Ensure compliance to company and procurement policies and procedures
  • Present key metrics to the business whether it be performance, issues, spend data sustainability and or other key metrics as identified by the clients or new strategies and ensure business needs are aligned.
  • Share best practices whether it be process or supply chain info including synergies and cost benefits with other business units.
  • Categories allocated may include sub-contracts, materials, and or plant and fleet. Flexibility is important.
  • To carry out any other duties as and when necessary to meet the varying demands of the business as directed by the Strategic Procurement Lead and satisfy customer needs

This role is a hybrid role working 2-3 days between the home and the office in Nottingham as required by the business. This is also supported by a flexible working hour policy completing your core hours between 10am - 4pm then the outstanding hours around your work-life balance.

Experience / Qualifications

  • Ideally a HNC / HND or Degree supported by a professional qualification such as CIPS
  • Procurement / Category lead in the infrastructure sector be it:
    • Rail
    • Water
    • Highways
    • Power / Energy
    • Civil Engineering.
  • Full driving licence as you will be required to travel as required for meetings.
