£40,000 - £50,000/annum Pension, 30 days holiday

The business

An award-winning high growth Textiles business, friendly, helpful and customer focused. Now employing over 200 people across multiple sites they have continued investment in both people and plant across the operations and a strong ambition for further growth and development.

A new and very exciting position is now available to join their Operations and Production team and lead a critical business unit for them looking after x2 shifts.   The manager will works days.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure timely product delivery.
  2. Ensure quality control from raw materials to finished products.
  3. Develop and execute a comprehensive maintenance plan, utilizing data for continuous improvement.
  4. Manage workforce efficiently within budgetary constraints.
  5. Schedule shifts and overtime effectively to meet demand fluctuations.
  6. Collaborate with Planning and production teams for seamless material flow.
  7. Communicate challenges to senior management.
  8. Manage raw material procurement and inventory.
  9. Supervise works orders process on internal systems.
  10. Generate weekly production and downtime reports.
  11. Analyse reports to enhance departmental efficiency.
  12. Work with directors and product development for new product delivery.
  13. Uphold high standards of housekeeping and maintenance.
  14. Ensure team members possess necessary skills through training and development.
  15. Implement company policies and procedures.
  16. Enforce safety, health, environment, and quality standards.

Key skills

  • Strong leadership in manufacturing environments, coating experience would be ideal however training and development is available.
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Mechanical and electrical machinery fault-finding and repair experience.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Package:

  • Base Salary & Shift Allowance 
  • 30 days holiday including Bank Holidays.
  • Pension scheme.
